About Practice Lines Online

Why this site exists, who it is for, and what problem it is trying to solve for actors who rehearse alone.

Why This Tool Was Built

Practice Lines Online was built for a narrow but common rehearsal problem: an actor needs to run a scene alone, does not want a full account-based platform, and wants something more structured than reading from a static PDF. The site focuses on cue playback, line navigation, and privacy-first rehearsal rather than on production management or script hosting.

The tool is intentionally lightweight. It does not try to be a casting platform, a script marketplace, or a collaboration workspace. It is closer to a browser line partner: simple to open, quick to run, and useful when you need repeated cue work without unnecessary setup.

Who it is for

Actors preparing auditions, self tapes, rehearsal scenes, class scenes, understudy refresh, or memory review between live rehearsals.

Who it is not for

Writers looking for screenplay formatting tools, teams needing shared production notes, or users expecting a hosted script database and cloud history.

Why privacy matters here

Audition sides and classroom scenes can be sensitive. The site avoids account creation and script hosting so the user can decide what to keep and where to keep it.
